Thank you so much for answering my question about Jesus in
Rome. I took my daughter this year to Rome, and we went
to the catacombs. It is truly amazing. When going
to Rome, you truly understand Jesus' time and burial. St.
Peter's and St. Paul's cathedrals are so gorgeous! If you
ever get the opportunity, please go see the catacombs in
Rome and a must of the catacombs in Paris, France. 12/23/04

I will be taking a tour group in May. My question is -
Did Jesus ever go to Rome? Where in the Bible does it
say Jesus went to Rome? Please help. Thank you, Stephani 12/22/04

Dear Pastor Ron. Please could you tell me how I can
overcome a problem in the Church I attend. The Young
people are constantly being slammed for not Praising and
Worshipping God. But I can't see what more I can do in
that area other than starting to run about and shout for
the sake of it (which would just be show). I do Praise
God, I'm a worship leader and Sing, Clap, Dance and give
thanks (maybe not as loud as everyone else), as I am led
by the Spirit of the Lord, but this does not seem to be
good enough. All of the young people continue to be
addressed as rebellious for not worshipping and praising
God and this has been put as the reason why a Sexual
Spirit is infiltrating the young people in the Church. I
feel in an extreme dilemma and would appreciate some light
being shed on the matter.

Pastor Ron, God spoke to me, through you, in this sermon.
I have been questioning God why am I - where I am - at
this given time, pretty relentlessly. I finally said to
the Lord - give me a Word to take me through this season.
I closed my eyes, opened my bible and He lead me to Psalm
69 which is titled "An Urgent Plea for Help in Trouble".
Then this evening I read your sermon which further spoke
to my heart. It's not about me. Instead it's about
growth through and in the Lord. It's about keeping my eye
truly focused on Him. And because I am a willful child,
He uses adversity to bring me closer to Him. I wanted you
to know that God used you, through this sermon, to
minister to my heart. May God continue to bless you
richly in all that is good and righteous. Angela 12/20/04

Really enjoying your commentary on Revelation. It's been

Dear Pastor
Ron, Yes, if you could include my testimony in "Especially

depth with Dale Landis at South Meridian, and the church
had me on the prayer chain when I first went into the
hospital. Thanks for helping spread the Word! Larry

Ron, I'm so
sorry that it's taken this long to reply, but the press of
cathedral duties has not allowed me to get to all my
emails until today. Thank you for your kind words about
the sermon, and yes you may use it on your website - which
I have just checked, and it is a very fine ministry that
you are providing. I would be honored to be a guest
speaker for The Church on the Net. I have probably missed
your 11/28/04 request, but if you did decide to use
"Apocalypse Now" as the featured sermon at a later date
then please inform me, so that I can inform the Office of
Public Affairs here at Washington National Cathedral.
They like to know when any of our people are doing
something for the public at large. Many blessings on your
ministry, and may we further the Kingdom of Christ on
earth! Reverend Canon Eugene Sutton, Washington
National Cathedral. 11/26/04

Hi Ron, I am doing a one on one
bible study with a new Christian and have found your study
on John very helpful. However we noticed that chapter 10
only has three verses. Are the other verses available?
Perhaps this is only a web site problem that needs to be
fixed. Thank you. Dan 11/21/04 (You're
right, Dan - it was a problem and thanks to you, it's been
fixed. John 10 for Youth is now complete).

Received in "Ask
The Pastor" -
Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Did they actually write the gospels or are they stories passed down from one generation to another? I am told that the bible may be 6000 years old and that Moses wrote the first five books of the bible, if this is true, how could Moses have wrote these when he was born three thousand years later?

Ask and God
answers. Blessed Hands continues to be blessed with
donations of used computers, which are completely
reconfigured and assembled to meet the needs of the
recipients. I have always felt unappreciative when asked
by both friends and new acquaintances if we could use
their old system for parts. The results have been the same
time after time parts are obsolete, incomplete, or not
working. I have found myself saying yes, when I really
meant no. After praying about what was truly turning into
a problem, God gave me the answer. Ask, if you do not ask
then people do not know what you need. So I asked
reassessed what was needed for computer systems that would
be fast enough to get people online and to
visit
http://www.fridaystudy.org. I asked and two days
later, Pastor Beckham called with the news that a computer
company wanted to donate several computers that met the
needs. Blessed Hands is a ministry that is blessed by
donors, recipients, directors and most of all by God.
Thank you Lord, all for continuing to bless this ministry
and thank you for reminding me to “Ask”. Sandy,
Director, Blessed Hands. 10/20/04

Ron, I was
feeling down and came into my room to be alone with the
Lord and pray. I was feeling like my life was going
nowhere and here is what the Lord said to me: Char, right
now I want you to have "horizontal vision". Don't look
around you or focus on what is going on in the world. At
this time in your life, I am your employer and your job is
to get well (I have breast cancer). Your bank account is
my Word--and you will NEVER go bankrupt!! And your
greatest asset in this life is prayer. Know that I love
you and keep your mind and heart on these things!! Char

Good Morning Mr Beckman’ - Thank
you for your kindness to give your time to reply my e-mail. I don’t have a good
English sir’ but i am sure you can understand my writing/questions. I know in
the Bible there a 4 kind of Love. Could you explain to me one by one the meaning
of the 4 of love. I am very confusing what the love that really love by somebody
to us, how the we know? Because sometimes my friend just said we are friend but
in our back she/he our talking about us with negative/bad word, I mean they are
pretending so much or life just not like what he/she say. I am a single I am 25
but I like and I am longing to know more about love, I am so afraid live with
all the mask they just uses in our environment, I am going to church and joint
all the religion worship we have in our city, but until today I still don’t
understand what the meaning of love I mean the second love that says in Bible
love your neighbor as your self and do to them like what you want he/she will do
to you. I am very glad and this is a blessed I ever received because Mr Beckman
I am very believe can give me the 4 kind of love with the example in our daily
life.( I mean how we can life with 4 kind of love in our daily life. With highly
appreciated for your time and your answer about my question sir. May be God
always take care of you so the whole world can understands the word of God by
your sermon and your writing and God Bless you. Thanks & Regards’ -Loma 10/3/04

Hi Pastor Ron!! I write you
with the best news in the world. We saw the specialist today at CHOC and he was
only slightly concerned about Ryan's nuerological problems. He said we will
just do a "wait and see" with regard to commencing any treatment for him at this
time. My prayer to the Lord was very specific about this kind of news. I have
been praying that the doctor would not be overly concerned and that's exactly
how it went today! God is so good!! So we will keep him monitored for about 6
to 8 weeks and then re-evaluate his condition at that time. Meanwhile the
prayers go on and on for this precious little boy. Thanks to all the prayer
warriors out there in internet land. May God Bless all of you and keep you
safely in His care. I appreciate and am grateful for all of the prayers. In
His Love, Diana 9/27/04

Dear Ron, I enclose a copy of
"Life Indeed," the issue which carries your excellent article: Tired O' Living.
Thanks for giving permission for us to print it. One of our readers,
however, took issue with your handling of the subject of "rest" in God. Sadly,
he is suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome and I gather has been very hurt by
the comments of some Christians. This coloured his reading of the article
and he wrote to me, asking that I pass on to you his letter, which is attached.
(See next letter)
You will see where he is coming from when you read it. I regret that he has been
hurt, but in no way think any the less of your writing! Your Sermon Index is a
real treasure-trove. You may well be hearing from me again!! May God
bless you and all your work for Him. Yours in Christ, Lin, Editor, Life
Indeed. Daniel 9/16/04

I read Ron Beckham's "ivory-tower
ignorance; viz "Tired of Living"...
(Reprinted in "Life Indeed", published in
Edinburgh) I speak as
a long-term sufferer of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome... Ron clearly has not the
faintest idea of how his judgmental "solution" can so deeply hurt committed
Christians who struggle with such ailments. I speak from experience.

Wonderful message. (Sermon
"Quid Pro Quo") One
comment only. Actually, we don’t anything at all at any time we are stewards of
everything because He allows us to have “things.” There is one thing we do own
“that is our words that come forth out of our mouth” No one can take those back
from you and no one owns those but you. We also are in charge of our choices
based on our will up to a point. Choose this day whom you will serve (Joshua).
God bless you! Shalom Yvonne 9/13/04

I have a question? In Matt. 23:39
Jesus states and I quote: “for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you
say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’”Is this is a mystery in
scripture of when the remnant of Israel actually say this? When they state this
very thing, or is it a figure of speech? His second coming not the rapture is
what this refers to right? Nowhere in scripture could I find where Israel prays
for there true Messiah Yeshua to return in scripture or even a prophecy of this
happening. I know there are a lot of passages that speak of His return
specifically like Rev. 19:11. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is a
question I had and have not been able to find an answer to. Zach 9/9/04

Dear Pastor, I am writing to you
for some personal advice. I really hope you can help me. I am a practicing
Christian, living on my own with a small child since my husband left us. I
have met another man called John, a very good Christian man. John wishes to
marry me. I would love to marry him except for one issue. John has a very
serious health condition which will one day render him an invalid. Ultimately he
will die from his disease. My own Pastor knows both of us really well, hence the
reason I am writing to you, as you may be able to be more objective.

Dear Ron: The audio sermon on my
computer comes out in spurts, and is very difficult to follow and listen to all
the way through. I don't know if it is that way only on my computer or on
other's also. It has done that since you first started putting out audio
sermons and I have tried to listen to them. I will read it now, since I had to
turn the audio one off, because it became too frustrating to listen to it.
Thanks, Marilyn

Dear Pastor Ron, It was so nice to
meet you and your wife last night at the Breast Cancer Angels function. I
enjoyed talking with both of you and I am asking that you please add me to your
prayer team. As I mentioned to you yesterday, I have a passion to pray for women
with breast cancer. I know too many with this horrible disease. At this time I
am praying for some 30 women and I know there are many more out there, who need
prayer. Thanks for including me in your team of prayer warriors! In His

Hi. From the questions below you
can tell that I am contemplating divorce. While I know this is wrong, I'm
struggling with some questions: How do you stay married to someone who is not
"born again" (one who tries to exemplify the traits of Christ) and doesn't quite
get it? Somewhere in the bible it talks about having to hate your mother,
brother, wife, etc.. to follow me (Jesus). Can you interpret this? If this is
true how does it correlate to "love your neighbor as yourself"? Is being
submissive, as the bible defines it, God's way of getting people to stay
married, to avoid the woman acting on her dislike of her husband (asking for a
divorce)? Thanks! 8/21/04

Are prayers hindered by Satan?
In John Eldridge's book Waking the Dead he makes an inference to this in talking
about Daniel 10 when the angel of the lord is held back by the prince of Persia
in answering Daniel's prayer - he makes the comment that this throws out the
thesis of unanswered prayer...the prayer was answered, but delayed. The Life
Recovery Bible also says in the commentary about this passage that prayers can
be hindered by the enemy. I have never heard any teaching on this - only that
prayers are answered according to God's will and timing. What's your thoughts on
this ??? 8/18/04

Hello, I thought it was time to
contact you and tell you that when I receive the bible studies, I print them and
share your views with the folks in my study group. It is on Thursday mornings
from 6 to 8 at our office. It is sometimes small as four or five but also
sometimes we have twelve to eighteen attending. I began copying your messages
and sharing them and now all expect me to bring them and share them and then we
all discuss them. Just wanted you to know that your words reach us down here in
Palestine Texas. Thank you for keeping me on the list. Affectionately,
Your sister in Christ, Mary 8/14/04

dear pastor Ron, I would be happy
if you could help me with some advice on how to deal with split in our
congregation. Our pastor is good-willing, but many define him as man who lacks
Holy Spirit, and some people are leaving the congregation. Since I'm involved in
ministry, leaving would not be an easy thing to do, however, I have to admit I
have thought about it. Moreover, our congregation council is too passive. I
think there is too much administration, machinery-work etc., but why have they
forgotten about evangelism? about saving people? My ministry becomes more and
more demotivated. Now (at least - for now) I do not think God would like me to
leave. But how can I stay? I mean - is it possible to do sth to change the
situation for good? Thanks for the answer already now, Mary 8/9/04 (An answer

Hi, Ron, Tell Chris Hi and that
this study was done with wisdom and with heart. He's been there and I
definitely needed to read this... You can really get caught up in pain and
loneliness. Keeping God in the foreground is a moment by moment decision.
This study helped me to reevaluate what and who is first in my life. I
will re-read this a few times so that it will sink in. God really is
awesome!!! Thank you. In His Love. Bob 8/8/04

Recently, after hearing a sermon
on God's Justice and how it demanded payment for our sin, and his Mercy in
giving us Jesus to pay for the sins of believers, I began to think. In the
beginning God created Adam and Eve and they were without sin, but then they ate
of the tree which was the original sin and they were cast out of the garden of
eden. Since then, all humans have had a sinful nature. We are incapable of being
entirely without sin and we are saved by Grace and Faith alone. But what I don't
get about this is that all humans have been punished for the sin of our
ancestors. A sin we had nothing to do with. God even says in Exodus 34:7 that He
punishes the children and their children for the sin of the fathers to the third
and fourth generation. I don't understand how punishing future generations for
the sins of their fathers is justice. It seems to me like a massive injustice
and without mercy. Then I started to ask how we can be punished for sins at all
with justice, w hen we are exactly as God created us. Cole 7/12/04

I was wondering about Acts 8:26
where it talks of Philip being sent to the Eunuch... now I understand that the
Spirit sent him because this man had question in his heart or mind about the
scripture he was reading (Isaiah)... I want to know if the eunuch was forbidden
to enter in to the temple to worship... or was he permitted entrance to the
temple, but forbidden to approach the priests... was there a rule or law that
limited the eunuch in some way which prevented him from asking questions to the
priests? (Received through "Ask The Pastor"

Dear Ron,
(Re Daniel Chapter 2)
I thank God for the way he has used you in presenting the incontrovertible truth
of Christ's coming. Part of me has always sought to deny it or believe that
other things in my life were more important... If God could predictably foretell
(and direct) the course of 5 kingdoms and world empires, I sell God "short" by
not taking the 6th and Final prophetic World Empire or Kingdom of Christ very,
very literally... Thank you again for the inspired and refreshing insight using
current themes. God is helping you to "Bend it Like Beckham," only on the
Spiritual Field with wording that hits home as surely as a goal in soccer. I
take it that my ability and willingness to support God's ministry financially
with $20 or more will not be overlooked... Regards, Devon. 5/30/04

Ron, long time. Hope all is well
with you. This paycheck I decided to step out in faith and even before doing my
bills I gave my 10% (after taxes) to God and last night after doing my bills I
came out in the red. This morning as I am driving to work I got a traffic ticket
which is going to cost me a couple hundred dollars...thus far I do not see a
blessing in stepping out and doing this. Do you have any words of wisdom

RE: Friday Study 4/16/04 - Revelation
14:6-10 - Good message. I heard an interesting
debate on 2020 that said that God would never declare
judgment because he is such a gentle God. This person
was on a mission to disclaim everything ever written
concerning God's judgment. We all need the scale taken
from our eyes by the enemy. I hope they are removed from
this person's eyes, before it is too late. Yvonne.

Hi Ron, I heard about
from a new friend. You were at his church a while
back. I am a blind minister in phx az, and have a radio
program. The consept that you have in mind, while I
don't know much about it intreegs me. Would you
consider being interviewed on my show. It will be on
the phone for 22 munites. We are also on the web. Just
go to familyvaluesradio. Then go to feaured speakers and
click to listen. I talk about how people can overcome
their disabilities thru Christ. I give a five munite
rap up message but we talk about many different topics
which relate to that. I am on the radio in phx aside
from the web, but that wouldn't do you much good. I
will be looking forward to hearing back, and remember
that we can do all things through Christ, because God
can see better than any of us. Howard 4/6/04

Re: The Unseen, 2 Cor. 4:16-18.
Hi Ron, Awesome
message on 2nd Corinthians. These are verses I often use
for seriously ill women. The NIV version is slightly
more poetic but the message is the same, this world is
so temporary and our true home is in heaven with the
Lord. In His Love, Faye. 4/4/04

Very powerful
message. By the way, tattooing is very common
among the pagan religions. When you read about

very common practice. There is a book called
"Ancient Pagan Religions." At the moment, I don't have
the author, but you would find it very interesting.

Dear Pastor Ron
Beckham,
Thinking of you this time and the challenging work that God has
entrusted to you and your wife. Because of the Incarnation, all
aspects of our life have been touched by God becoming man.
Humanity has been crowned with glory and honor for we have been
made by the Hand of God and inbreathed by His very life. That God
would reside among us with His presence is a wondrous reality that
we will praise Him eternally for. We never stop thanking you for
the goodness and being concerned to us besides your prayers. You
are a great blessings to us here. We love you greatly!
Much love and
prayer,
Ministry Philippines,
Jake, Wilma and Jako 1/1/04
