RE: Sermon 12/21/03 - Those Who Mourn -
Matthew 5:4
Good message. Touched me since I lost a son and I know the
Lord comforts 24 -7. He gave me an example of this
Christmas Day. I always plan to go to the cemetery on
holidays. But yesterday, it poured rain and I was really
sick to the point that I could not get dressed and go in
the rain. The Lord knew what the day would be like and He
knew I would be ill. So my time at the cemetery was
postponed until another time . How wonderful, the Lord had
already made provisions for me to be at peace and be
comforted that my plans were kind of put on hold until His
time was right. Yvonne 12/26/03

Merry Christmas to you.

family, Bridget & Corey, Mike & Lisa, Diana, Jennifer,
Tiffanie, Karen, JLF, Joy, a little boy, a 10-year old

Hello, I am contacting
you to invite you to list your site
fridaystudy.org/Prayers.htm into our regional
directory D-I-S-C-O-V-E-R.COM, under "Mexico" section. Our
goal is to create a relevant regional directory for
Mexico. 12/3/03

Dear Ron, I just wanted
to drop you a line of thanks. I read each of your messages
and also pass them on to my wife. I have been blessed by
your messages. Your life experiences that you have shared
help to bring alive the Word in a very real way. It seems
like God's servants rarely get their wisdom on "Easy
Street". It is of great encouragement to see the results
of forsaking the road to bitterness and choosing gratitude
as a response to our adversities in life. Mark.

Hi Pastor Ron: I visited
your website last night. It was very enlightening. I
listened to 2 or 3 of your messages. The one that stands
out is the message on Telemarketing. That really opened
my eyes and changed my thinking about telemarketers
because my regard for them was not positive. I will be
visiting your site on a regular basis. May the Lord
continue to bless you and your ministry. Bob

I really liked your
sermon on Inmates, especially the part about this place
being the dumping ground for the rest of the universe.
I will keep reading your sermons. Don.

I'm a Christian college
student who is praising God for His amazing sovereignty. I
have been praying for a radical way to praise Him and
found it in testing. God has given me the opportunity to
show love and grace to someone who has harmed me and I
thank Him for this "chance to die." 11/19/03

 |
(Sermon "Holy")
Good message!!!! Hebrew word for Holy is "kadosh"
Dr. Yvonne. 11/19/03
|
 |
I particularly liked
this (Sermon "Holy").
When Kobe first came on the scene, I thought perhaps for
once, we had a good example in the sports world for our
children. It was a great disappointment to hear of this
affair. I found it interesting that his admission of
adultery rather than rape makes things OK in the public
eye. Although the verdict is not yet in on the rape
charge, his behavior has already proved to be less than
Christian. Dottie 11/18/03

(Re: Study in Revelation 8:6-9).
Good message. One additional fact: Judgment and
righteousness go hand-in-hand. Although God's judgement is
often quite devastating, even in his judgment of the
unbeliever, he is a righteous judge and even for those who
face his devastating judgment it will still be righteous.
For those of us who are in Christ, we are judged as well
as blessed everyday, because you cannot have one without
the other. But again, He is a righteous judge, and the
Holy Spirit and Y'shua will see to it that God's judgment
of His saints is completely different from that of the
unbeliever because we do have the protection of the price
paid for our sin -- the Blood. However, once the believer
makes a decision to delete his relationship with Christ,
he/she places himself/herself in the position to be judged
with the unbeliever. Shalom!!! 11/15/03
|
 |
What a wonderful and
compassionate story and a great object lesson to Y'shua.
(Re Sermon "Fire").

Hi Ron! Browsing the
web, I came upon your excellent article on divine rest,
entitled Tired o' Livin'. I write as editor of a small
Christian magazine, Life Indeed, to ask your permission to
print your article in 2004. Life Indeed is the magazine of
The Faith Mission, an evangelistic interdenominational
society based in the UK. We are a registered charity, and,
though our magazine has a modest cover price, it is a
not-for-profit publication. We have a modest print run
of 8,000. Lin

I've been reading your
sermons. The one called "Let Go, Let God" was
wonderful. Barbara. 11/12/03
|
 |
Ron , your sermon on
Sunday ("Fire)" was
awesome. I loved it. Sandy. 11/10/03
|
 |
Pastor Ron , your study
("Dark Days") came just when I needed it most, Thank you
for being obedient to the Lord. "Jesus said if you
love Me obey Me" Hugs Jerri and Fern. 11/7/03
|
 |
Dear Ron: I think the
message on "Dark Days" is excellent and will help me...
Also the prayer in the end will help me now and then, so I
want to thank the Lord and you for giving you that message
to share with me and the people who read it. I will copy
it and pass it on, and feel it is a very important message
to share with the general public because of so much stigma
about depression today. Marilyn 11/5/03

May I ask a
special favor ...??? Moreover, a very serious favor
...???? East Highland is a small membership, inner-city
church in Georgia, with a heart to see people saved! We
have a long history of serving the Lord, but we
desperately need growth --- spiritual and physical! Would
your church pray for us? We're believing the "prayers of
the saints will avail much!" If you will ask the Lord's
blessing for our little congregation, please le me
know your church and state. I'll share your love, care and
concern with our people. As a Pastor, I thank you for your
response. 11/3/03
|
 |
Dear Pastor Ron, I feel
truly blessed to see the fruit of your hard work and your
love of for God. Your church has no physical walls, but
that is a blessing, because Church walls have the ability
to keep people out of the church. Your church is reaching
the world. We have the stats to prove it! I am feel very
honored to work with you and Genevieve and every Friday
Study Ministry member. I wish you could have seen your
work as I saw it last night, watching Barbara Davenport
navigate anywhere she wanted on the computer and internet
without assistance. You, Gen, Don and the generous people
who donated the money, you all are true reflections of
God's love. Kindest Regards, Sandy. 10/27/03

Please let us know when you change email addresses.
Thank you.

Dear Pastor Ron, I
desperately need marital advice. Is there any possibility
you might help me or refer me to someone trusted who might
help me? The help I need is in the area of domestic
violence and forgiveness. Thank you, 10/27/03
|

TEACHING ...THANKS TODD 10/27/03

We write to ask if
perhaps you can share books, tapes, and teaching aids for
adults, young people, and children. These will help us
grow in the faith, and will be used for ministry
purposes... we hope that you will not neglect our humble
desire for the expansion of God’s kingdom here in the
Philippines. Your participation towards the gospel is
highly appreciated, especially your earnest prayers.

Pastor Ron, I'll see if
I can evangelize to the next telemarketer and let you know
what God does. Dr. Jen. 10/23/03 (Re: Sermon

Strong reminder to give
thanks ..."in all things." Sometimes that really is hard,
because you really have to find a way to soothe the heart
that has been cinged. (sp?) What an interesting object
lesson to remind us of this. Yvonne. 10/22/03 (Re: Sermon

I've been enjoying your

Hi My Ministry Brother
in Christ: I know it has been ages since you have
heard from me. I just found a way to keep from being
tormented by the junk mail (sometimes quite unbearable).
So I am able to enjoy the internet experience again. I was
reading your latest email, about comfort and reading your
testimony. I had been praying recently about all my late
pastor husband's study books, about giving them to someone
in ministry. Unfortunately, my son does not like reading
so he does not see the value in them. So as I was reading
your testimony I felt that maybe you could use them.
Please let me know if you would like to have some of them.

Just a quick note, you
have a sermon from 5/25/03 on 2 Corinthians 2:14-16, but
if I read that correctly, it should be 1 Corinthians
2:14-16. Thought you might want to know that and make the
correction. Tony. 9/30/03.
We DO want to know. Thank you, Tony,
and God bless you (the change was made).

Shalom Ron. I had

solid. I am a born again believer and found out

studies I am pleased he attends and pray that God will use
you to help this family... In His service. Jeffrey.

I am engaged in an internet
discussion board debate regarding the Alabama Ten Commandments
monument. My opponent claims that the people rallying around the
monument are in fact worshipping it and thus violating the
Commandment against graven images. I pointed out that the monument
is the equivalent of an altar and thus not a graven image. Now my
opponent claims the monument violates Exodus 20:25, Deut. 27:5-6 and
Joshua 8:31 which prohibit altars made from hewn stone. Any
illustration I have ever seen of a Hebrew altar shows it with
prominent horn on each corner. How is possible that these horns
could be formed if the altar was not shaped by humans and thus
hewn? Is it possible that the stone for the altar has to be
recovered from its natural setting without the use of tools, but we
can use tools to shape it to prepare it for use? I would
appreciate any assistance your organization can provide
in preparing an answer to my opponent.
Thank you, Jon. A
response was sent. 8/27/03

My name is Jim. I am a long-time
friend of Ron Beckham from Emmaus (caution: he may dispute this
claim!) and a supporter of his e-mail ministry. In fact, I am
blessed to administer the e-mail prayer ministry for the So Cal
Emmaus Community, so I get to send out hundreds of e-mails almost
every day requesting prayer for various circumstances. I am also
blessed to administer computer networks both at my home and my
church, as well as taking care of computers for numerous friends.
We are always changing and upgrading equipment, so I fast accumulate
used equipment and sometimes software also. In the past, I have
taken this equipment to a Goodwill Store where they use it to teach
people how to work on computers, and they then sell the computers to
the public to raise funds for their operation. I
currently have quite an accumulation of computer parts, and I would
gladly give them to your Blessed Hands organization, rather than
Goodwill. This includes a number of desktop computer cases,
motherboards, CPUs, sound cards, modem cards, mice, keyboards,
cables, and other miscellaneous items. Please let me know of your
interest in these items, and, if you DO want them, please let me
know how we can get them to you. Please note that "some assembly is
required" in order to make workable computers from this collection
of parts. As always, we pray for continued blessings on Ron's
ministry. Jim 8/24/03

Dear Ron, if that's what your name
is: I read your site about God answering or not sinner's
prayers. And I need you to help me, to help me solve a question I've
had in mind for years. I'm a sinner who refuses to repent of the
very sin that he commits on a regular basis, because I know that
even if I ask the Lord for forgiveness, I will want to persist in
committing that sin till full satisfaction, hoping that I'll finally
change someday once the satisfaction's finally complete. But through
it all, I have a very painful life. And I believe that this painful
life is a result of the Lord's punishment against me for all that
I've done and will continue to do, because none of my prayers have
ever been answered. In my prayers, I ask the Lord to reserve for
Judgment Day only all punishments that he sends me in this life :
this prayer has never been answered. As a result, not only will I
have led a painful and unhappy life in this life, but I will be
banished from His presence forever in the lives to come. Please tell
me what I must do to have my prayers answered or to make God accept
the covenat that I have tried to make with him. Please help me, you
may be my only hope. An answer was sent.

Dear Ron, Wow! I've been blessed
by your sermons for quite a while. But I'd never tried listening --
until today. For one thing I'm a much better reader than listener --
I usually learn better by the "eye-gate" than by the "ear-gate."
However, these last few weeks, Jesus has been showing me that He
meant it when He had Paul write Romans 10:17. Faith cometh by
hearing...My usual choice is to read. And I still love that. But
recently the Lord has been ministering to me through my ears, so I
decided to try listening to your sermon. And it was wonderful. I
felt like you were right in my home ministering to us. And, of
course, in spirit you were. Christine 8/13/03

hello, i was looking on your site
about john 20:22' Jesus breathed on them' you refer to billy grahams
book. but you misquoted him. billy does not think the disciples
recieved the HOly Spirit then . he says it is future tense. whether
thats true nobody knows .what is true is Jesus could not send the
Spirit until He was glorified. thats a fact . plus th egreek word
for recieve can be used in future tense. for further proof look at
the parallel scripture in Luke 24 44 this , ithink answers the
question that no it was impossible for the 12 to recieve it then.

Hello, Ron, Your 6/22 sermon on
heroes reminded me of J. Vernon McGee's teaching on Samson. We tend
to think of Samson as some buffed-up 'superhero' like the Hulk or
Superman or Hercules, but McGee believes Samson had very ordinary
appearance and abilities (no bulging muscles, etc.) until the Spirit
came upon him. And even then, as he carried out his job as a
'champion' of the Israelites, he kept his ordinary external
appearance. I agree with McGee and see Samson as another instance of
the principle "my strength is perfected in (your) weakness." In a
way we do no fully understand, God is glorified in our weak and
imperfect (childlike?) obedience - to do things like achieve His
saving purposes by obediently preaching 'foolishness'. Thank
you for your faithfulness and praise God for his moving in the
hearts of the IRS people to see the good in the calling God has
called you to. My prayer is for personal and church revival in
America and I know you share that prayer. Joe (a very dry
bone!) 6/28/03

What a blessing your sermons are.
We were delighted that we could keep up with our pastor's teachings
even as we traveled across the country. We're sorry that we
don't usually take time to write -- and have the equivalent of a

Pastor Ron Beckham,
I just wanted to drop a note thanking you for such a wonderful site!
I had received the weekly Sermons which I very much enjoyed, so I
decided to FINALLY check out the base site. I do not attend a church
regularly yet, but I do spend time with the Lord and am trying to
keep Him in everything I do. I have discussions quite frequently on
things we don' t understand or just interesting scriptures in the
bible. I just thought that the website was a great source. I am at
work all day and don't have much to do, but now I can hop online and

Hello Ron, My name is Delores and
I am writing you to bless the Lord Jesus Christ for your website.
More interesting enough is this passage of scripture Isa. 65:24. I
put this passage into AOL search engine to see if there were any
writen commentaries online that could minister to me...

Ron,
Your Friday sermon for 5/25/03
(The Klingons) came as a reminder of God's work in my life - an
answer to my prayer. Thank you and praise the Lord for your
ministry.
By the way, when I tried to track down on the internet the source of
the "anger turned inward is depression" quote you said Charles
Stanley quoted in a sermon, I came across the following site:
http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/quotes/s/q106691.html
where the quote is attributed to
"Sidney Friedman", the fictional psychologist on M*A*S*H. I found
that funny, given the 'retreat from reality' point your sermon made
so powerfully.
I don't know how I have missed it for so long, but I just noticed I
can hear your sermon as well as read it. A double blessing. Thank you again, Joe 5/25/03

Just a couple of comments
(re study in Revelation).
Your message is awesome!!! Parables in the Greek are parabole (prounounced
para-bo-lay) (accent on last syllable) means to throw along side the
truth. And although Western churches teach that 7 means
completeness, the Hebrew tells us that six (6) is the number of
completeness and seven (7) is the day of shabbat or rest. Finally,
in the Greek first and last coincides to the Greek alphabet of Alpha
and Omega. Everything in the Word, most of the time speaks of His
diety in several ways. These comments are not criticisms --
just the need for me to bring out the emet (truth in Hebrew)
whenever I am able. Thanks for your patience with me. Yvonne.

Ron, I thank you for this
beautiful tribute to Mary. As a Catholic I have always had devotion
to "the Blessed Mother". But you have expressed it so well in "Mom",
" The child that Mary bore is God!". The great mystery is
that Jesus could be both God and man. Most Christians truly accept
he is God. But to be truly man he had to be born of woman...to
Mary! Thanks, Ron. Tom 5/21/03
|
 |
May you walk in the fullness His
grace and be empowered by His Spirit. God bless!. Pastor
Scott. 5/21/03
|
 |
Dear Ron,
(re sermon "Mom") didn't read
right to me, something seemed off key. So I checked the translation
you used (KJV). The first "and" following Simon, you have
capitalized and it should be small case. The second "and" following
us, you have small case and it should be capitalized. That
transposition gives the impression that His family were offended by
Him. IHS. Chuck. 5/19/03
His brothers (and probably His sisters)
WERE offended at Him. Can you imagine being the kid-sibling of the
Son of God? Not only Who He Was, but all of their lives, these
RUMORS about His birth (and their mother) had been whispered around
town.
“It
would have been a two-pronged insult for them. Just like Joseph's
brothers were offended at the dreams God had placed into Joseph,
Jesus' brothers felt like they were LESS than He was, but they
didn't want to be. And - how many fist-fights did His brothers get
into, defending this Brother that they probably
did not even LIKE?“
All somewhat speculative, EXCEPT for places like John 7:1-10, where
it is noted that His brothers tried to pressure Him into becoming
more OPEN about who and what He was. It is also seen that they did
not believe in Jesus. It seems they were looking for SOME public
vindication for all they had suffered during the years of rumors and
jealousy. From that perspective, Joseph's brothers in Genesis were
certainly an advance ‘picture’ of Jesus' relationships within His
family. “To
NOT believe in one another is unfortunately so common in families,
including those in the family of God that we call the church.”
- Pastor Ron.

Dear Bro.
Ron, I found your "Net Church" when I was surfing for info on the
Galatians. I read the first chapter and enjoy the commentary you had
along with the scripture. I believe I will mark your site in my
favorites for further study. I attend a Non-Denominational Church
and try not to align myself with any particular denomination but
seek only the Bible truths (not in the bible I do not accept it).
Thank You and GOD Bless! Denny 2/22/03

Dear Ron: This particular study
("Praise Him") is beautiful,
very poetic. I really enjoyed this study, but feel maybe my strings
are being stretched very taut right now, and I am not putting out
much music for anyone, no less the Lord, at least beautiful music.
I copied out on my computer your study on pain, especially emotional
pain, and will copy this one too. Thanks, Love, Marilyn 2/9/03

Hello Ron, With the good help of a
good friend we just had a chance to read your sermon -
Chronic Pain - Psalm 10:1, thank you
for including me and all your kind words. Most importantly,
thank you for your prayers during this difficult time. It is
GREATLY appreciated. For one who is able bodied, you seem to
have a real grasp and understanding for those of us that are
disabled. Your ministry is a special one and unique, to say
the least. I love to see how the Lord takes care of so many
little corners of the world. Just wanted you to know how much I
appreciate your hard work and your ministry. Gratefully, Renée Bondi

What a blessed message.
(Sermon "Knee Mail"). Everyone
should share in this message. I hope I have an opportunity to share
it with my boss the City Manager. Pray for him because he believes
in God -- but I am not sure he has ever given his life to Christ. I
want to help him get to that point. Knee mails surely are good.

Lord, we have been asked
to pray for the soldiers who may soon be in harm's way, in and in
relation to Iraq. That's our prayer, Lord. Watch over
them, the civilians in that area, and all who are involved.
Protect them and somehow use these events to bring many to the Son
of God. In Jesus Name. Amen. 1/18/03

WOW Father Tim You did
it again. (Sermon "Your Thoughts, Psalm
139:1-3). Another
fine message of challenge, insight, great illustrations, and
conviction of my heart. I stand amazed that we know you two,
wonderfully talented,
stimulating, intelligent people. You are
somethin' else brother. I know the Lord is using you in many fine
ways, all the while refining you by His process of making you more
like His Son. God's best to you dear Ron and Gen. Sue.

What a full message
(Sermon Self-Image, Hebrews 13:8).
Especially graphic was the information
about the relationship between the beetle and the ant. How
unfortunate that it seems that even insects like people want the
pleasures generated by the lower part of the spirit (the soul). I
can't help wondering that if man is supposed to be a higher life
form, why do our pursuits of the flesh seem to parallel those of
animals and insects??? I wonder what it would take for mankind to
have the same kind of craving Y'shua, that we would be willing to
give up everything to pursue and obtain the agape' kind of love.
Yvonne. 1/14/03

Ron, very good message.
I was a terrible sinner who did not believe in a God. On the day
that I could not stand what alcohol had turned me into I said "God I
can't do this anymore". He obviously answered that prayer! Dennis

we could get a biography about my grandmother through your web site,
although I have been unsuccessful. Her name is Anna She has a

praise God! Thank you for taking the time to witness and God
