Ron,
I love the story of Hosea and Gomer. I have an excellent Christian novel (set in early
western days, USA) which is a retelling of their relationship. I pray for you and
yours.

I haven't had much access to a computer to read much for it broke before
this transmission was sent. I do read them when you send them and I do apply it to my
every day life. I enjoy the studies and share it with my family and I believe that it is
helping this lost CHRISTIAN BECOME RE-BORN AGAIN. Please don't give up on me in thought or
prayer ---- even Jesus never really gives up. I pray that you have continued success with
this site and that your able to help many others less fortunate than myself. Dan

This was exactly what I needed to read. I am under attack right now
and it's a bit wearying, to say the least. Thanks so much, L. 12/7/00

Please add my email to your Friday mailing. Yours in Christ,

Dear Ron,
Thanks for these thoughts. I have heard the marvelous story of the Spaffords before, and
it has always touched me. That hymn is a well known one in the United Methodist hymnal.
May you continue to be blessed in your ministries.

Thank you Ron. What a good word! Love ya! Bob 12/3/00

This is just a note to tell you how very much my wife and I enjoy
your wonderful spirit filled E-mails. Your Friday studies seem to always just hit the mark
with us and our struggles to make a new home and friends down here in Alta Loma. We
are still looking to find a new church home and respectfully ask your prayers in this
matter. We are trying to listen and heed the guiding of God but for some reason He
has not opened the right door for us or we haven't heard or felt HIS push? Please
pray that we will see the door that He opens!! Paul

Dear Ron,
Well, when I woke up last Tuesday and looked around, the world just looked brighter
somehow, but I could not say why at the time. Now I know: It is because a new church
was being formed: Friday Study Ministries was being incorporated that very day.
That is very good news, Ron, and I congratulate you on this achievement. I
pray that it will help you in "getting the Word out" to everyone. Keep up
God's good work. Jim. 11/19/00

Congrats............glad to hear the good nooooozzzeeee about the

Congratulations on your incorporation, another important step in your
unique, important and very useful ministry! God's blessings and comfort,
Pastor Bob 11/18/00

Ron,
I was running late this a.m., but went on the PC anyhow. I took the time to read this
Scripture lesson. What hit home was pride! I needed to hear this message so
that I may be humble, not let my love for them be lessened, not let the Holy Spirit in me
be lessened all because of my pride. Out of time for now. Your lesson touched me and
changed my attitude to more "Christ-like".
With love and gratitude. D. 11/14/00

Ron,
As always, your words are a blessing to me. Today, especially so.
1) The only church I attended today was virtual - electronic. It had to be (because) I had
a splitting sinus headache. The church was there, everywhere - but was only REALLY
there in faith.
2) Stopped and made my HEART think you did. Thanks for again igniting my soul searching. I
do some things in His name, but I am drawn to do more. Again thanks the H.S. and to
you for your teaching today. Fondly His. Ernie 10/29/00

Ron, I am so glad you chose to include me in your Friday Bible studies.
I have been meaning to find out how to contact you and request them but never
seemed to get around to it. But it looks like the LORD took care of it anyhow.
J. 10/18/00

.....Would you please pray about my decision and share with me whatever
the Lord reveals to you. Thanks.
At Friday Study we love to pray. Please enter the section
entitled "Pray For These People" and join us in prayer.

Yes, I would love to see the Sunday Sermons and Bible studies. Is it OK
if I steal some thoughts. I will give you and the Lord credit. Pastor Dave Rader.

It is amazing to behold that, even as you were standing right before my
eyes on Friday, October 13, you were somehow miraculously publishing this issue of the
Friday Study. The age of miracles is truly not yet over! However you managed to do
it, it is a GREAT study, and thanks for it. Jim 10/17/00

Dear Ron,
Thanks for sending me the story about Pastor Charley. God is good, isn't he! God

Brother Ron: Thank you for the sermon notes.

Got a question regarding "rest". I struggle all the time
about my walk. It is as if I am never satisfied with my rate of progress. It's
not that there hasn't been some improvement, but it is like walking through sludge.
Do you experience this? Joe. 9/21/00
Yes, but less, these days. Much less, and I have two ideas why that
might be. First, I am finding genuine opportunities to help others. I leave in
about an hour & a half to visit the guys in the Spinal Cord Unit, at the VA Hospital.
Saturday, we have another team meeting toward spending three days inside the new
Federal Prison, in Victorville, in November; I'm working a Walk to Emmaus, in October; I'm
teaching a new study in Matthew, on Monday evenings; I taught at the Convalescent Home on
Sunday afternoon, etc., etc. There seems to be a correlation between responding
directly to the needs of people (as led by our Lord) and the "rest" of that
study. My peace, rest, and joy seems to be tied to the love He has said He wants us
to express toward Him, and toward those who are in need.
Second, the more I study His Word, the more I am convinced about certain ideas that I
believe are coming from Him. The key one here is that He died for my
dissatisfaction, on the cross. When I am unsatisfied, it's because I do not, for some
reason, see His mercy in what occurs. I've mentioned before that there have been
great blessings that have come from my years in a wheelchair, as a child. I was
dissatisfied during those years, but they shaped my personality and the experience makes
me grateful for what I have. I was dissatisfied, basically, because I did not like
who and what I was (I resented His choices for me), and thought I deserved better.
This is a form of pride and the Lord has been dealing with this in me. He died for
this problem, and recognizing what He has done for me, I am happier than I have been in
years. Ron. 9/21/00

His yoke is not "east" it is "easy". Great
study on His rest.
Thanks, Don. 9/18/00
Don is correct - It is "easy" not "east" as in
the last Sunday Sermon. To all readers: Feel free to send any corrections
needed. Our best editors are always our readers. God bless you. Ron.

Just wanted you to know that I finished the Sunday Sermon from last week

Dear Ron,
I don't know if I was just more prepared to hear, but today's sermon touched me deeply. I
felt you spoke to the primary truth. Until we realize how selfish we are, and how
material wealth does not fill the needs we feel for happiness, until we understand that
the love of Christ enables us to love and care for others, until then and only then will
that hole we feel
be filled and we will feel whole and be of use to Christ. Then life feels good because we
have purpose, we have love, and the main relationship we need in life. That is what
I heard in your sermon today and it is what I know that I learned that was a major turning
point in my life. Also, I would be very interested in accompanying you on your
visits to prisons and hospitals to speak to substance abusers. Let me know if you're
interested. Transportation can be worked out. God Bless You. Dennis:

Ron, How would you feel about me reprinting your
Sunday Sermon ("You Visited Me") in the next edition of "Harbor
Lights"? If you are uncomfortable in any way, please feel free to tell
me.
I think it would be a blessing to the readers (circulation is now over 350,
unbelievable!). It's a powerful message that really resonates. Please let me
know. Lorelai. 9/4/00

I got your last Friday Study. This Scripture
is one that I have been directed to repeatedly. It parallels the New Testament
"You can't put new wine in old wineskins ..." I go through periods where
everything seems to just run out of me that God has given, then other times where
everything goes easily. I never can anticipate when the change will come or even
prepare for it. Some days are just easier than others. God has been emphasizing that
I am not to address the problems, but approach everything as a matter of faith. (Don't
look at the problem). Look at the solution (Christ). 2000

Thanks Ron...It was a good sermon.

At the age of eight; I started drugs and alcohol.
By fourteen I was a full blown drug addict and alcoholic. Today, by the grace
and mercy of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have been set-free. I have
found out that I have Cirrhosis and Hepatitis C. I know that my good Lord will take
care of me... This month on the 16th I will be 4 years in the Lord. I thank God
everyday for my family and my life with Him now. 2000

Thank you for your Sunday Sermon. I enjoyed it very
much. I would appreciate being on your distribution list. I particularly appreciated
your views on man made religion. I loved "my doctrine is better than your
doctrine". I would appreciate your opinion on this question. How did I get to
God, knowing he was doing things in my life, working through me, without consciously going
through Christ? I had excepted Christ as my Saviour many years ago but had
drifted. Recently, within the last two years, I began rebuilding my faith in God And
today I feel the spirit within me. Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Pastor Ron:
Your commentary on the Book of Acts is very inspirational and enlightning. Do you
have commentary on the Book of John? I 'm leading a Wed evening community group in
my home on John's Gospel. God has led me to do this. All praise to His name.
In Christ, M. Casey 2000
